The news we’ve all been waiting for has finally come, regular, quarantine free (mostly) travel has finally resumed! We know many of you are eagerly anticipating the day your passport gets stamped and you’re whisked away to your next dream destination. If you’re thinking of getting intimate while you’re relaxed and on vacation, you’re not alone!

Did you know, from a research conducted by Expedia , that over 50% of couples are more likely to be intimate with their boo on vacation? 32% of couples feel that beach travel is the most romantic. The other 27% responded that international travel turns up the charm. 

With that in mind, bringing one of your sex toys along to spice things up in the hotel room, may not sound like such a bad idea don’t you think? But with 3 sets of bikinis, 5 sundresses and a few sexy lingerie, making room for your “buzzing friends” might become a tight squeeze in your luggage. More importantly, we most definitely do not hope you get into trouble for bringing something that isn’t TSA approved to in another country! So here are seven useful tips to help you get your toys safely from one destination to the next. 

1. Research, Research, And More Research 

This should be the very first step before you jet off! Do your research on the regulations and rules of the country you will be visiting. It’s worth noting that sex toys and lubrications are illegal in some countries like Thailand, India, Vietnam, Maldives, Malaysia and the State of Alabama (USA). So be mindful to check whether your “favourite companion” aka your pleasure toy will be permitted into the country, or risk confiscation. 

Fun fact, did you know that it's against the law in Texas to possess six or more sex toys. If you got five, though… you’re good. 

2. Choose Wisely 

As much as you may love all your toys and want to shower them with equal amounts of love, it would be an overkill to bring all of them with you. Our advice? Choose a toy that is petite and can easily be stowed away in your luggage and carry-on compartment. The last thing you want happening for you is having a big dildo showing up on the security cameras at immigration and being asked to pull it out for a spot check for “suspicious item”. 3. Put It In A Clear Bag

If you are using a USB rechargeable sex toy, we recommend draining the battery on your vibrator(s) a week or a couple days before you pack it in your luggage or hand-carry because the last thing you want happening is a toy buzzing off all of a sudden and gaining unwanted attention. 

If your toy is a rechargeable one, make sure you switch it off and wrap clothes around it for extra cushion and security. If your toy is a battery-operated one, simply remove the batteries before packing and once you’re in your accommodation, slot those batteries in and charge up your babies!

5. Make Your Measurements

6. Don’t Sweat It

When you get to the airport, there are lots of steps to navigate through, checking in, checking in your luggage and then, clearing customs and immigrations. It’s totally normal to feel a little stressed out and nervous, especially if you’re carrying something as personal as your vibrator.  Though easier said than done, stay calm! Take deep breaths.
